Granger Construction Company is a full service construction company specializing in custom remodels, fine carpentry, insurance repairs, and historical work. Initial consultations are a courtesy. We love to work with our hands, and to provide solutions to vexing problems. General Manager Dan Granger's fascination with construction began when his parents decided to remodel their 200 year old farmhouse in Maine. Originally built by a ship captai ...n, the workmanship exhibited in the rough hewn post and beam construction drew Dan's eye. Early on, Dan learned that a home is really composed of subsets of different systems all interacting together. Today's building techniques, coupled with refinements in wiring, HVAC, and plumbing, have contributed to highly efficient homes. While 90 % of our structures are still 'stick built', we are constantly investigating alternatives such as ICF, especially in this southern climate.
